Claude is a Civil Engineer, with twenty years’ experience in the railway and civil engineering industry, 8 years Sydney based. Claude has a thorough understanding of the road/rail interface (technical and non-technical issues) and mitigating construction impacts in an urban environment from his work on three light rail projects in Australia (Parramatta Light Rail, Capital Metro and Sydney CBD Light Rail). These projects have included planning and constructability services and liaison with key stakeholders. His other work includes water supply systems and industrial construction.
Claude has extensive experience in developing and delivering complex technical solutions within a constrained urban environment and has been required to deliver significant stakeholder management, interfacing with the network operator (Sydney Trains), the network owner (TfNSW), local councils and projects delivery (Transport Projects and PLR). He has also dealt with contaminated land matters for TfNSW (Asbestos on TAP stations and complex contaminants on the PLR) and ARTC (Creosote affected soil and saline groundwater).
With experience on projects across a number of rail disciplines (electrical, permanent way and civil engineering) and contractual models developing his skills in project management, Claude has been involved in a wide range of delivery issues including management of the TfNSW CCB submission process, review of compliance with the TfNSW requirements, quality of design documentation, construction, commissioning, operational readiness and asset handover. He also has experience in occupational health and safety management, environmental compliance and project risk management.
