Transport NSW - PLR Update

You’ve told us that improving transport is important to you, but for too long it was neglected.

That’s why we’re investing $41.5 billion in long overdue improvements right across the state, including a brand new light rail for Parramatta.

It’s all a part of our plan to create a connected roads and public transport network that’s faster, easier and meets growth across Sydney. We’ve already built a successful light rail through the Inner West that moves 9 million people each year. Our sights are now set on Western Sydney.

Today we received planning approval to start construction on light rail in Parramatta. So from 2023, you’ll be able to hop on a turn-up-and-go service every 7.5 minutes during peak times, giving you easy and reliable connections across the Parramatta region.
