Road infrastructure has long attracted the most significant investment from governments across Australia, but with a booming and geographically dispersed population, the road passenger and freight task will only continue to grow.
Infrastructure Australia estimates that the total investment in Australian roads will be US$437 Billion between 2016-2040, much of this occurring in congested and challenging brownfield environments. Meeting this challenge will require a keen understanding of freight and passenger requirements, of innovations in smart road technology and of emerging driverless technologies will help make the most of this investment.
